As a glass dealer, I always cringe when asked if I sell textured glass patterns. My response is always, “Only if you want the lowest price.” But how do I know? I don’t buy my glass from a supplier.
I buy my glass from a dealer. I don’t deal in textured glass patterns. The question I get most often when I mention selling textured glass is, “Where do I get one of these glass chips?” My response to that question is, “I get them from a supplier. You should contact your supplier and ask what kind of glass chips they have available.”
If you want to make a profit buying and selling glass chips, you must first find a source for buying. There are several ways to do this. You can drive around town and look for a supplier. You may also approach someone you know and ask them if they know of anyone who might be interested in selling glass.
A glass dealer, however, will not be looking to get rid of their stock. They will most likely want to buy the chips from you. Before you start making arrangements to sell your glass, you should ask yourself if it is really worth the hassle of getting a buyer for your stock.
You should do some research and find out how others feel about the business. This means asking around your circle of friends, family, and work colleagues.
A dealer will need glass that has glass patterns printed on it in order to sell. They will pay cash and take your stock to their factory and have them manufacture the glasses. When they are ready, they will offer you cash.
Dealers usually buy the textured glass in bulk. You may have to wait for a while for the whole lot of textured glass to be available, but it is worth the wait because you can sell the bulk glass patterns at a much higher price than you would be able to sell unprinted glass.
If you decide to go ahead and sell your textured glass, you should find out whether your dealer will charge an additional fee for sending the pieces back to you.
Some dealers will mark up the price so much that they will be able to make a profit on glass, but then they will not send it back. When this happens, they can sell your textured piece for practically nothing and then pocket the difference between what you paid for it and what they will be willing to pay you for it.
There is one advantage to textured glass that most people don’t think about. Most glass pieces are cut by hand, so if you ever decide to give your textured glass pieces as gifts, you will never have to worry about them being damaged or ruined before someone takes them home.
The pieces are easy to take care of and most people already own a few textured glass items that they no longer use. It is not like a collector’s item that requires special care before it is given away.
Once you find a dealer who can sell you textured glass in bulk, you should think about getting other glass patterns. This way, you can decorate your home with pieces that you may not have had time to texturize before. However, you should texturize each piece separately according to how you want the pattern to look.
If you want a more elaborate design, you should do it separately. On the other hand, if you are looking for a less elaborate glass pattern, you can combine textured glass patterns together. You can also texturize individual pieces of glass in accordance with their sizes.
